Create Your Writer's LifeCreate Your Writer's Life: A Guide to Writing with Joy and Ease by Cynthia Morris is a book that helps you design a writing life according to your needs and lifestyle. Cynthia is a writing and creative coach with ten years' experience, so she knows first-hand what's involved when mapping a plan for your writing practice. Doesn't the subtitle say it all? Writing with joy and ease! That's exactly what I wanted when I bought the book, and I wasn't disappointed. I read Create Your Writer's Life just after I started freelancing and getting serious about my fiction writing. The book gave me a great framework for making use of my new-found freedom, and I embarked on a writing practice that serves me to this day. I really recommend the book for writers who want to work on a regular basis. Becoming an Early RiserI really want to be an early morning writer but damn it's hard. There are so many moving parts to the goal of getting up at the crack of dawn and creating. I was excited to discover the Becoming an Early Riser program, in which Dave Navarro is honest about the tough and complicated parts and also very encouraging and strategic. The program includes a PDF workbook to diagnose your particular sleep/wake challenges, and targeted audio files for each small step. I've read lots of stuff on early rising but I still learned new techniques from Dave. Highly recommended. |
